Day 1 - Castles, Heritage & Local Culture
- Explore Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, one of Ireland's best preserved medieval castles
- Stroll through the recreated 19th century village
Afternoon
- Visit Quin Abbey, a beautifully preserved Franciscan friary
- Continue to Craggaunowen for ancient Irish history and reconstructed Bronze Age settlements
Evening
- Return to Carrygerry for dinner in the Conservatory Restaurant overlooking the estuary. The restaurant is known for locally sourced produce and award winning cuisine. Please note our restaurant is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday evenings from 6 - 8.30pm and Sunday for Lunch from 1 - 3.30pm. On all other evenings we serve a Supper Menu in our Bar from 6 - 8pm which is very popular with our Guests.
Day 2 - Cliffs of Moher & Doolin
- Drive to Cliffs of Moher
- Walk sections of the cliff trail for spectacular Atlantic views or take a boat trip from Doolin Pier and experience the Cliffs from the Water
Afternoon
- Visit Doolin Cave or take a coastal walk
- Weather permitting take Aran Islands Ferry excursion
Evening
- Traditional Irish music session in Doolin before returning to Carrygerry Country House
The Burren & Coastal Clare
- Explore the Burren, one of Europe's most unique limestone landscapes
- Visit Poulnabrone Dolmen, a 5,00 year old portal tomb, the Burren Perfumery or Caherconnell Stone Fort & Sheepdog Demonstrations
Afternoon
- Scenic drive through Fanore and Black Head
- Relax on Fanore Beach
Evening
- Return for your final night at Carrygerry Country House and unwind with guests in our cosy Bar
