St. Bridgets Day - Enjoy a long weekend at Carrygerry Country House
In Ireland 01st February marks the Celtic start of Spring and the celebration of Lá Fhéile Bríde, St. Bridgets Day, Ireland's Patroness Saint. It is customary on 01st February to plait Saint Bridgets Crosses. The crosses are woven by hand from rushes.
Monday 03rd February is a Bank Holiday in Ireland to mark St. Bridgets Day.
