Aran Islands – Doolin Ferry
Only 1 hr. (58.9km) via N85 to Doolin Ferry and 35 mins on the Ferry to Inis More. The Aran Islands are 3 rocky isles guarding the mouth of Galway Bay, in western Ireland. They're known for their ancient sites. The largest island, Inishmore, is home to the prehistoric fort of Dún Aonghasa, perched on top of a high cliff. Nearby is the Worm Hole, a rectangular natural pool. The medieval ruins of the Seven Churches are in the northwest. Clochán na Carraige is a stone structure with a beehive roof.

Ennis Town
Only 22 minutes (22.1km) via M18 from Carrygerry House. Ennis is a rare example of a Gaelic medieval town, which means it grew organically without defensive walls. In our case, the town grew outwards from the Old Friary, built circa 1240, which was a seat of learning, attracting hundreds of European students. There's a vibrancy about Ennis that's tangible. Much of the hustle and bustle is thanks to the narrowness of the main streets, threaded together by a labyrinth of laneways and bow-ways. (What is a bow-way, we hear you ask. It's actually a uniquely Ennis word, meaning a laneway with a barrel-shaped (arched) covering. We have lots of them.)
The Burren Perfumery

Vandeleur Gardens
Only 54 minutes (60.9km) via N68 from Carrygerry House. The Vandeleur Walled Garden occupies an area of 0.90 hectares (2.158 acres) and is completely surrounded by stone walls. It was originally positioned to be close to the family house, to the east side of the other buildings, providing protection from prevailing westerly winds. The garden is rectangular in shape with a widening west end: the west wall being almost twice as long as the east wall with the north wall the longest – designed purposely to catch maximum sun for the plants.
The Clare Heritage and Genealogical Centre, Corofin, Co. Clare

King John's Castle

King John's Castle also known as Limerick Castle is a 13th-century castle located on King's Island in Limerick, Ireland, next to the River Shannon. Although the site dates back to 922 when the Vikings lived on the Island, the castle itself was built on the orders of King John of England in 1200.

The Great Southern Trail, comprising the Limerick Greenway and North Kerry Greenway, is a greenway rail trail under development in County Limerick and County Kerry in Ireland. As of October 2022, 40 kilometres of the Limerick Greenway and 10.5 kilometres of the North Kerry Greenway were completed. Fantastic facility for Cycling enthusiasts.
Thomond Park Stadium Museum
